Carol Thorson, originally from Minnesota, has called Laguna Vista, Texas home since 2007. She is known for her paintings of the Midwest and beach scenes from South Padre Island. She has work in watercolor and oil.  Currently she is working in watercolor. She has work in private collections throughout the United States and Canada.
 

Carol enjoys painting the beauty of the  ocean, the wildlife, and landscapes that she loves in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. She has been a member of the Laguna Madre Art League, and the Leech Lake Art league in Walker, Minnesota.
