VIRGINIA R, EGGERT paints with acrylics on 300 lb. or 140 lb. Arches watercolor paper or on gallery wrap canvas. She enjoys using the bright acrylic pigments to interpret her environment.
VIRGINIA’S subject matter includes impressionistic landscapes and seascapes water with people, birds and boats.
She has lived and painted in North Dakota, Montana, Alaska, Wyoming, Arizona, the Florida Keys and South Texas.
SHE earned a BA in visual art from the University of Montana in Missoula; a MA in art education, a Specialist Degree and a Ph.D. in Educational Media from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
VIRGINIA studied watercolor with Zoltan Szabo while living in Alaska. In Arizona, she studied commercial art and illustration with Gerald Bishop.
